LONCIUM BREWERY
The LONCIUM brewery is Gailtal's first brewery and has taken up the craft that was already practised in Mauthen in 1700. Since the opening in 2007, the brewery has been steadily expanded and the product range has been extended. Far away from the mass products of the corporations, craft beer is produced here.

Slow Food Travel Region
The upper Gailtal and Lesachtal valleys are not only a particularly beautiful part of Carinthia in terms of landscape, the region also ranks among the best in terms of cuisine. On the initiative of Kärnten Werbung and in close cooperation with the Austrian ambassador of the Slow Food movement, Barbara van Melle, the world's first Slow Food Travel Destination is now being implemented. Partner regions are the Lesachtal and the Gailtal. Another partner is the Slow Food Convivium Alpe Adria. Guests in Kötschach-Mauthen are treated to culinary specialities that rely on precious ingredients and traditional preparation.
